Xiaomi is preparing to launch two new smartphones at the start of the school year in France, the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro. The latter will be one of the first to use a 200 MP photo sensor, and we now know more about it.
While the Xiaomi 12T Pro had already been spotted on Xiaomi’s database under the model number 22081212UG (Global), it seems that the smartphone is ultimately only a modified version of the recent Redmi K50 Ultra Extreme Edition, presented on Thursday last in China, since this one bears the model number 22081212C (China) and the same code name “diting”.
As confirmed by developer Kacper Skrzypek on Twitter, the next Xiaomi 12T Pro should ultimately only be a Redmi K50 Ultra Extreme Edition, and we already know the technical data sheet for this device. The smartphone is known to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which will allow it to be much more powerful than the Xiaomi 12 Pro that we were able to test. However, the smartphone will above all be much more autonomous, since the chip is much more energy efficient thanks to TSMC’s more advanced engraving process.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.67-inch 120 Hz AMOLED flat screen quite particular, this one offering aunusual resolution of 1.5K (1220 x 2712 pixels). There is also a battery of 5000 mAh compatible with the 120W fast chargingbut fast wireless charging will not be part of it.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro will use a 200 MP photo sensor
Unlike the Redmi K50 Ultra Extreme Edition which uses a 108 MP Samsung HM6 main photo sensor, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will benefit from a 200 M photo sensorP. As the information about the components of the Chinese smartphone reveals, Xiaomi has already tried to use a 200 MP Samsung S5KHP1 sensor in the device. This is the first 200MP sensor that Samsung launched last year, and has already been used in the Chinese Motorola X30 Pro.
Anonymous sources have already been able to show us what the Xiaomi 12T Pro will look like before launch, and the smartphone will bet well on a 200 megapixel camera, unlike its Chinese version. This could be the only difference between the two devices. This sensor would be accompanied by a camera ultra grand-angle de 8 MP as well as a sensor 2 MP macro.
