RTX 4080, RTX 4090: here is the price of the best gaming laptops
If you diligently follow gaming and hardware news, you probably haven’t missed the latest announcements made during CES. Indeed, the high mass of Las Vegas hosted several expected conferences, including that of the giant of graphics processors: Nvidia. No big announcement, but unsurprisingly, the Santa Clara firm has announced the mobile versions of the new RTX 40 series graphics cards. The high-end RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 will therefore end up in laptops.
And the big day is fast approaching. Indeed, the assemblers draw their first models which are now available for pre-order! Inevitably, with hyper high-end graphics chips, manufacturers reveal the largest configurations first, and logically, the prices are astronomical. Nevertheless, the data sheets are particularly impressive as you can see below. Three models have been unveiled, and the sums it will cost to buy them sting the eyes.

Obviously with such prices, you can imagine that the technical sheets of these PCs will send very very heavy.
L’ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16
As its name suggests, this machine has a 16-inch WQXGA screen (2560 x 1600 pixels) in 16/10th format capable of a refresh rate of 240Hz. The type of panel is not specified but we suspect that at this price it will probably be an IPS. The panel will be powered by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 with 12GB of dedicated GDDR6X, which should make it possible to run any title with all graphics options at full speed, and with a particularly high framerate. CPU level we find an Intel Core i9-13980HX 5.6GHz with 24 Cores. As far as memory is concerned, we benefit from 32 GB of DDR5, while storage is entrusted to an M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD of (only) 1TB. Attention, this pretty baby weighs 12.5Kg on the scale.

This PC has a QHD (2560×1440) 240Hz panel, an RTX 4080, an i9 13900HX (24 cores but only 5.4Ghz), 32 GB of DDR5 4800MHz and 1 TB of M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.
